In 1993, glastec has been established based on the initial invention of an
"Adjustable facade shell with a carrier frame for a building" by Helmut Sprotofski and Paul Schlossbauer.
As architects, we aimed to create a most transparent and flexible outer skin which both shelters and ventilates a building envelope in a larger scale.
It all started with this sketch from the German architects Hansen + Petersen who approached glastec to design and build an entirely natural ventilated pavillion for the Emscher Genossenschaft in Bottrop,

20 weeks later,
the award-winning pavillion has been installed.
Many renowned architects including Alsop + Stoermer, Sir Michael Hopkins and Ian Simpson should follow
Meanwhile, glastec has realized over 200 projects working with the worlds
